LONAP is a Layer-2 Internet Exchange Point (IXP) which means it provides the physical infrastructure and connections for its members which can exchange traffic with each other efficiently and at low cost. LONAP only provides connectivity to its members, who effectively 'own' part of the company, ensuring it is always focussed on providing the services that benefit its members.
